Olngo Delivery Partner Location Permission Policy
Overview: The Olngo Delivery Partner app is designed to provide efficient and safe delivery services for our delivery partners (delivery men). To facilitate this, the app requests access to the device’s location services, both online and offline. This is essential for tracking delivery routes, ensuring safety, and enhancing the overall delivery experience for customers and partners alike.
Why We Need Location Access:
Real-Time Tracking: The primary purpose of accessing location data is to provide real-time tracking of delivery partners. This allows the admin and customer to track the delivery status accurately and ensures efficient order delivery.
Safety: The app uses location services to ensure the safety of the delivery partner and provide assistance in case of emergencies. By tracking the delivery partner’s location, we can ensure they are safe, especially during deliveries in unfamiliar or remote locations.
Offline and Online Modes: The app provides an offline mode option to deliver even when the internet connection is not available. The location data will be stored and synced when the partner reconnects to the internet, ensuring no disruption in service.
Improved Customer Service: Accurate location data helps us estimate delivery times, update customers on the status of their orders, and optimize delivery routes for better efficiency.
Types of Location Access:
Background Location Access: The app may access location data while running in the background to track delivery progress. This allows the admin and customers to track deliveries in real-time.
Foreground Location Access: When the app is in use, location data is actively collected to provide real-time navigation and delivery updates.
How We Handle Your Data:
Data Privacy:
We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your location data. The location data will be used solely for the purposes outlined above and will not be shared with any third parties, except as required by law or for operational purposes related to your delivery services.
Data Security:
We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of your location data using encryption and other industry-standard measures.
Location Access Control:
You have control over the location permissions on your device. You can enable or disable location access at any time through the device’s settings, but please note that disabling location services may affect the functionality of the app, including tracking deliveries and providing accurate delivery estimates.
Admin Monitoring:
The admin will have access to the delivery partner’s location for operational purposes, including safety, tracking, and efficient route optimization. Admins will not use this data for any other purposes beyond the scope of the delivery service.
Consent for Location Access:
By using the Olngo Delivery Partner app, you consent to the collection and use of location data as described in this policy. If you do not agree with the collection of this data, you may choose not to use the app, or you may disable location access in your device settings, though this may impact the functionality of the app.
